Networking Activities

Punta del Este is internationally recognized as one of the top resorts in the Americas and the most exclusive in the region. It is located in the department of Maldonado, just an hour and a half from the nation's capital. Luxurious summer residences, high-‐rise beachfront apartment buildings, huge yachts in the harbour, luxury hotels and restaurants make this resort the most glamorous in the Americas. Is also a unique natural destination. With over 20 kilometers of coastline and high hills overlooking the sea, the resort also offers charming places and landscapes for those who come in search of absolute peace and tranquility.

Las Cumbres de la Ballena
This fantastic place offers the opportunity of seing one of the most complete, beautiful and serene views of Punta del Este. From the top you will see the woods, the sea and the península. Either looking to the right or to the left, the beauty of the landscapes is fantastic.

Casapueblo
This Mediterranean-style house sculpture, made by the Uruguayan artist Carlos Páez Vilaró, is located 20 minutes from Punta del Este and has become an architectural icon of the resort. The peculiar building currently serves as a modern art museum and on summer evenings it plays host to many cultural activities. More information here

Arboretum Lussich The park is a 475-‐acre area and has 400 exotic plants and 70 autochthonous. Its maintenance is under the supervision of the Intendencia de Maldonado and is visited every year for thousands of turists from all over the world, Botanic and Garden Schools and students.

Mansa Beach & Brava Beach
The meeting point of its two most famous beaches, Playa Mansa (Quiet beach) and Playa Brava (Rough Beach), marks the end of the Río de la Plata and the start of the Atlantic Ocean.

The Hand
On the sands of Brava Beach, more precisely in a spot called Parada 1, a giant hand made of stone emerges from the core of the Earth. "The Hand", as it has come to be popularly called, is a plastic work standing here since the summer of 1982, when the Chilean artist Mario Irrazábal was invited to take part in the 1st International Meeting of Modern Sculpture in the Open Air held in the City of Punta del Este. During that summer, the seafront turned into a kind of outdoor workshop where artists from various countries gathered and began to give shape to what they had in mind.

Pablo Atchugarry Museum>
The complex is immersed in an International Sculpture Park of 30 hectares designed in dialogue with the landscape, that offers the visitor a natural setting to appreciate the monumentality of the work of national and international artists, where a special care has been placed in the attention to the diversity of expressive languages.
